Home Office Snapshots — Choices to look at

One blog I enjoy reading is Office Snapshots and they introduced this last week a new blog called, Home Office Snapshots. So far there have been some interesting shots of some home offices from around the home office workforce.

Another site which provides a ton of information for the home office business or worker is Enterprise Nation. Emma Jones the person behind Enterprise Nation has a recent addition to “the home business website” called Home Office of the Week.

Both of these will be a good addition to what we are doing here with our own Home Office Snapshots. It has been a while since we have had a featured home office. I do not scour the Internet looking for home offices. As you may already know, we rely on you the reader to provide home office snap shots for the feature. So, get out your cameras, clean off your desks and get us those home office snapshots.

Home Office Snapshot — CONTEST!!!!

Over the last 3 months I have really enjoyed the home office snapshots some of you have sent in. In order to make this a weekly or more often feature, I have decided to hold a contest.

Everyone one of you who have sent in your snapshots and all you new ones, will be eligible to win at the end of the year a brand new iPod Nano. But, there is a catch. I have to have at least one entry each week, or all bets are off. So, start sending in your snapshots and we can pick a winner at the end of the year.

How do we decide? You the readers will decide who the winning Home Office is at the end of the year in a reader poll we will publish in December. And if we get a large number of entries, we will not limit it to just a weekly feature. I would love to run it everyday or more than once a week.

Home Office Snapshot — Build a Solo Practice, LLC

I have been after Susan Cartier LIebel to get me a photo of her home office for sometime. And here it is. Susan has the great blog, Build a Solo Practice, LLC and is a National Coach/Consultant. She works with those who dream of being in solo practice and those who are. Even though Susan’s target audience is the would be or already is solo practice lawyer. Her insight and methods can work for anyone working out of a home office. Susan and I visit often about different things. And best of all, we bounce ideas and concerns off of each other. If you don’t, I would encourage each and everyone of you to find someone who you can do the same with.

Susan’s office is without a doubt one of the cleanest ones I have seen. No wonder she gave me a hard time about by wire mess. Of course, turn about is fair play. And I have been giving her a hard time about not using her new MacBook Pro for her main computer. She assures me that is coming in 2008.

Home Office Snap Shot — Adventures in Home Working

Steve Richards of the great blog, Adventures in Home Working provided me with a link to his own home office today. Picture is below. Steve has a setup that I really like. Even though it appears to be windoze based, it is way cool.

Steve is also brain storming on a Home Office Update. And some of the ideas he is working on are some of the same ones I am looking at.
