I am bothered that I have not had the time to provide any new post for days here on the Home Office Warrior. A project we are working on called Blawg for Profit has been taking control of most of my attention as we are launching it on October 15th, 2007. We are alao working on the final details of our launch party we are having on October 12th, 2007.
Blawg for Profit is a blogging product, support system and turn key blog system we are offering to lawyers. Our main target market is solos and small firms. While it is a narrow niche market we are focusing on, the product does and can provide tools to the non-lawyer. Which is why you will soon see “Blog for Profit” which will be focusing on the home office entrepreneur, home office business, home office worker and small business.
I have been blogging for almost 3 years now. The first blog I started was the Kansas Family & Divorce Lawyer. I started the blog after exploring, researching and talking to as many about blogging as I could. That blog became my only advertising I did for my law practice, which I have done out of my home since January 2005. On Kansas Family & Divorce Lawyer you will not see ads. It has been my opinion that ads are not something you should see on a professional service blog. I use that blog to market my firm and the money making from the blog is the fact I have averaged 2 to 3 new clients a week from it.
The other blog that I have enjoyed a lot doing is the blog that is perhaps the parent to the Home Offrice Warrior and that is the Home Office Lawyer. While it has not been used to promote my practice, it has gained me a lot of attention. Both from the legal community and the non-legal community. As you can imagine, the Home Office Lawyer has been my stump where I have been promoting working from a home office. The Home Office Lawyer will continue to be part of our network of blogs.
Because of the success of my blogs and the “success” I have had blogging, I am moving myself to other areas of interest and most important other income sources. It is my plan to phase myself out of the practice of law and focus on the other areas that I enjoy and have a lot more fun doing.
Promoting the home office being one of them. As such, watch for a feature of Home Office Warrior that I hope will be a weekly feature. I will be posting pictures of my home office soon. And, will be asking for others to submit theirs too. I plan to call this new feature, “Home Office Snap Shots.” It should be a lot of fun. And how many times have we all heard, what does your home office look like? What did you use for a desk? What equipment do you use? And where in the home is your office? So, get your cameras ready, clean off your desk, and get some photos taken. We will launch this new weekly feature this week.
